More on Lightroom

I had been suffering through Lightroom withdrawal, through no one’s fault but my own. But not any more! As I mentioned earlier, I downloaded the 30 day free trial and loved it. So I ordered a copy from Academic Superstore (note to homeschoolers: you can get HUGE discounts on software…Lightroom through Adobe is $299, through Amazon is $260, but with my homeschool discount at Academic Superstore…$98 (ok, so they charged me $15 shipping (for software?) but that still made it only $112.)

So what was the problem? I ordered with plenty of time for it to get here before my trial ended. However, I failed to notice that while I entered my Ocean City street address, I also mistakenly entered my Virginia city, state and zip. I have no idea why I did this. I have been down here for the summers for around 4 years now and do a lot of online shopping and I have never made this mistake. Go figure…can I blame being over 40?

And then to make matters worse, I did not track the package closely (since I was happily using the free trial) so it sat and sat, being very confused. If I had tracked it, I would have noticed the issue earlier. Ah well. Academic Superstore only allows you to purchase 1 copy of the discounted software/year so I had to wait for it to be returned and processed before they shipped it back out to me.

Needless to say, I am excited that it finally got here.

I have been really amazed at how much information there is out there for using Lightroom. I have added several lightroom blogs to my reader and enjoy the tips, video tutorials and other information folks are willing to share. I have been learning tons (it really is amazing all the things that Lightroom can do). Here are some of my favorite blogs:

Enjoy!
