My Photography,
Wordless Wednesdays I am a liberal-minded homeschool mom who is constantly trying to find that elusive state of balance in my life while enjoying my two energetic, yet vastly different boys.
Our wisdom is all mixed up with what we call our neurosis. Our brilliance, our juiciness, our spiciness, is all mixed up with our craziness and our confusion, therefore it doesn’t do any good to try to get rid of our so-called negative aspects, because in that process we also get rid of our basic wonderfulness.
~ Pema Chodron

Hi, I saw your blog linked at "raisingsmartgirls" and I had to comment on this picture. As a fellow amateur photographer, I must say this picture is gorgeous. If you took this, my hat's off to you!
Thanks! I did take the picture, but I will admit that I had a little bit more post processing help than usual for this version. I use Lightroom and it has "presets" that you can use for different effects. This preset pumps up the colors and saturation a little bit, softens the focus and darkens the edges.
This version has a little bit of clean-up post processing but is closer to "straight out of the camera":
They each have a different feel and I like both of them. It is fun to play around with them.
