Welcome!

I am a liberal-minded homeschool mom who is constantly trying to find that elusive state of balance in my life while enjoying my two energetic, yet vastly different boys.

Our wisdom is all mixed up with what we call our neurosis. Our brilliance, our juiciness, our spiciness, is all mixed up with our craziness and our confusion, therefore it doesn’t do any good to try to get rid of our so-called negative aspects, because in that process we also get rid of our basic wonderfulness.

Throwing Marshmallows?

A Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

    Christmas 2009

The presents have been opened and a nice relaxed (and not too-early!) morning has been spent. Lego creations have been started. Rubber band guns have been fired. Jason is engrossed in his new Order of the Stick comic books. Kyle is talking on the phone with a friend. Christmas eve dinner left-overs are out to be enjoyed. And we still have snow on the ground. Not a bad day. Not a bad day at all.

For some Christmas enjoyment, check out this Sheldon storyline. Read through to December 25th (and beyond!) Sheldon is an online comic strip that the boys and I enjoy (so much that we have all their books.) Highly funny and highly recommended.

Thanks for introducing us to Sheldon--wonderfully sweet & funny. I thought I would wake baby Stephen laughing out loud while the rest of the family is sleeping. Happy belated Christmas!

Oh I am glad that you enjoyed Sheldon! I love that they really are enjoyable for the whole family. I get them by email and get the books for the boys. Jason was re-reading one book over the holidays and he was just completely cracking up...tears running down his face, could barely speak while reading it out loud to me. The sign of a great comic book.
