My Writing

Brave Writer

I started working for Brave Writer as a homeschool coach in the Homeschool Alliance the summer of 2015. It has been a fantastic experience and I am still in awe at what Julie has created over there—an accepting, supportive community focused around growth and learning in our homeschooling. A sort of "continuing education" program for homeschoolers where we focus on how our kids (as well as ourselves!) learn and grow and what we can do to support that growth.

VaHomeschoolers

I have been a volunteer with The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers since I first started considering homeschooling, serving on the Board of Directors from 2006-2016. I often wrote (and still write) for their amazing magazine, the VaHomeschoolers Voice. Some of those articles have been made available online.

Life Without School

From 2006-2008, I was a featured author on the community blog, Life Without School. The blog is no longer active, however, the archives remain up and it is a wealth of information. I wrote some of my favorite posts over there, and although I have linked to them at various times on this blog, I wanted to pull them all together in one place.
